Terms of Service

By creating an account, accessing, or using Freelance Trackr, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

You must be at least 18 years old to use Freelance Trackr. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that:

• You are at least 18 years of age
• You have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms
• You will use the Service in compliance with all applicable laws
• All information you provide is accurate and truthful

3.1 Account Creation

To use certain features, you must create an account. You agree to:

• Provide accurate, current, and complete information
• Maintain and update your information
• Use a valid email address
• Not use temporary or disposable email addresses
• Verify your email address within a reasonable timeframe

3.2 Account Security

• You are responsible for maintaining account security
• Choose a strong, unique password
• Do not share your password or account credentials
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access
• You are responsible for all activities under your account

3.3 Email Verification Requirement

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that:

• Violate these Terms
• Use temporary or disposable email addresses
• Remain unverified for more than 3 days
• Engage in fraudulent or abusive behavior
• Are inactive for extended periods
• Generate spam or send unsolicited emails

4.1 Subscription Tiers

• Free Plan: Limited features, 2 invoices per month
• Supporter Plan ($5/month): Unlimited invoices, custom branding, email features
• Champion Plan ($15/month): All Supporter features plus premium templates and VIP support

4.2 Billing and Payments

• Subscriptions are billed monthly in advance
• Payment is processed through Buy Me a Coffee
• Prices are in USD unless otherwise stated
• You authorize recurring charges to your payment method
• Failed payments may result in service suspension

4.3 Cancellation and Refunds

• You can cancel your subscription anytime
• Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period
• No partial month refunds for mid-month cancellations
• Refunds may be issued at our discretion for technical issues
• After cancellation, your account reverts to Free plan

4.4 Price Changes

We reserve the right to modify subscription prices with 30 days advance notice. Existing subscribers will be grandfathered at their current price for at least 6 months.

5.1 Permitted Use

You may use Freelance Trackr to:

• Create and manage invoices for your business
• Track payments from clients
• Send invoices and reminders via email
• Manage client information
• Generate reports for your own business purposes

5.2 Prohibited Use

You may NOT:

• Use the Service for any illegal or fraudulent purpose
• Attempt to bypass usage limits or restrictions
• Scrape, copy, or reverse engineer any part of the Service
• Use bots, scripts, or automated tools without permission
• Send spam or unsolicited emails through our system
• Upload malware, viruses, or malicious code
• Impersonate others or provide false information
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service
• Resell or redistribute the Service without permission
• Use the Service to compete with Freelance Trackr

6.1 Your Content

You retain all rights to the content you upload (invoices, client data, logos, etc.). You grant us a limited license to use, store, and process your content solely to provide the Service.

6.2 Content Responsibility

• You are solely responsible for your content
• You must have rights to all content you upload
• You must comply with tax and legal requirements
• Content must not violate any laws or third-party rights

6.3 Data Backup

While we perform regular backups, you are responsible for maintaining your own backups of important data. We are not liable for data loss.

7.1 Our Rights

Freelance Trackr, our logo, features, and Service are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.

7.2 Your Rights

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the Service for your business purposes.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:

• THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND
• WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES
• OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID IN THE PAST 12 MONTHS
• WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR DATA LOSS, BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, OR LOST PROFITS

Some jurisdictions do not allow limitations on warranties or liability, so these limitations may not apply to you.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Freelance Trackr from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from:

• Your violation of these Terms
• Your violation of any law or regulation
• Your content and data
• Your use of the Service

• We strive for 99.9% uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted service
• We may perform maintenance with or without notice
• We reserve the right to modify or discontinue features
• We are not liable for service interruptions

11.1 Termination by You

You may terminate your account at any time through your account settings or by contacting support.

11.2 Termination by Us

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, with or without notice. Paid subscribers will receive a refund for unused time at our discretion.

11.3 Effect of Termination

• You will lose access to the Service
• Your data may be deleted after 30 days
• You can export your data before termination
• These Terms survive termination where applicable

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via:

• Email notification
• In-app notification
• Website banner

Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. If you disagree, you must stop using the Service.

13.1 Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Ghana, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. For users outside Ghana, local consumer protection laws may also apply where mandatory.

13.2 Dispute Resolution

In the event of any dispute, claim, or controversy arising from these Terms:

• Good Faith Negotiation: Both parties agree to first attempt to resolve disputes through good faith negotiation for at least 30 days
• Mediation: If negotiation fails, parties may agree to non-binding mediation
• Jurisdiction: Any legal proceedings shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ghana
• Small Claims: Either party may bring claims in small claims court if they qualify

13.3 International Users

We operate globally. By using the Service, you consent to the processing of your data in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Local laws in your jurisdiction may provide additional rights, which we respect.

• Entire Agreement: These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and Freelance Trackr
• Severability: If any provision is invalid, the rest remains in effect
• Waiver: Failure to enforce any provision does not waive our right to do so later
• Assignment: You may not assign these Terms; we may assign them to a successor
